Education is one of the most powerful pathways to success, supporting you and your group in building a conscious community that fosters joy, resilience, and regeneration.

What is this certified education about?

You will learn to design a successful community or business by using the sustainability wheel as a guiding framework.

You will explore how to create positive change in your (dream) community across social, cultural, ecological, and economic dimensions – while simultaneously enriching your own life.

A life-changing course for those who want to live in an ecovillage or ecocommunity or work in a community-oriented green project/business based on authentic relationships, shared values and permaculture design.

What is special about this education?

It is offered in collaboration with Gaia Education and the Danish Eco-village Network (DEN).

It is based on the internationally recognized Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) curriculum, developed in 2005 by two pioneers in sustainable development: the Global Ecovillage Networ k and Gaia Education.

The modules

Building community Welcoming you. How to become a valuable co-player. | 2-3 weeks
Practical sustainability Growing food, building ecologically and living sustainably. Permaculture.| 2-3 weeks
Holistic Worldview Dealing with personal beliefs and limitations in a community. | 2-3 weeks
Green Economy Creating a fair organization and economy. | 2-3 weeks
Whole system design Groups of students create a design together. | 2-3 weeks

Excursions

During each module there will be an excursion to an eco-village or green project. On each excursion you will participate in some activities and teachings that are related to the subject of the module.

Who are the facilitators?

The main coordinators of the 2026 community Education is Kristiane Ravn Frost and Sandy. They are assisted by many very skilled people facilitating various subjects. Certificate

You will receive an Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) certificate from Gaia Education providing you attend 90% of the sessions and together with a group complete the community design in the end of the education.
