A closer look at each session

Fri 22 Aug 7:30 PM
1. Together We Shine: Join us for an uplifting session of guided movement, music, and meaningful connection.
We’ll begin with lighthearted, easy icebreaker games to loosen up, share some laughs, and break down walls. Then we’ll ease into flowing movements that invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and tune into your body’s natural rhythm. Through gentle solo and partner practices, you’ll explore how movement can be a powerful way to reconnect—with yourself, with others, and with the joy of simply being present.

Sat 23 Aug 9:30 AM
2. Feel the Spark: From Numb to Radiant — Reclaim your full emotional palette, one movement at a time. Joy is the invitation. Release the armour, and let your body remember how to feel.

Sat 23 Aug 2:30 PM
3. The Ancestral River of Knowing: Awaken timeless truths — one gesture at a time, reimagined through your unique expression.
Step into ancient postures — reclaim humanity’s wisdom, made new through your body. This session is about tapping into the collective memory of our species and giving it personal expression.

Sat 23 Aug 7:30 PM
4. Return to Delight: From Braced to Blissful. Turning defense into delight. As you release the armour, you don’t just move — you rediscover the flow of enjoyment.

Sun 24 Aug 9:30 AM
5. All of You: From Fragment to Fullness: Reclaiming Wholeness Through Motion. Embrace your full self and express the truth of who you are, no parts left behind. In every gesture, reclaim the parts of you that went quiet — and let them sing. You were never broken — dance is the path back to your natural, undivided self.

Sun 24 Aug 2:30 PM
6. The Dance of Gratitude: An embodied celebration to honour the gift of being alive. Through guided and intuitive movement, we’ll express thanks with our whole bodies — feet kissing the earth, hearts lifted in rhythm, arms open to receive. This is a dance for everything: for what we’ve been given, for what we’ve survived, for the beauty that lives in our cells. Leave reconnected, renewed, and overflowing.

*Open Space is a time for participants to freely share their own gifts or practices with the group — whether it’s a guided meditation, yoga, Qigong (Chi Kung), or something else you love. If this speaks to you, let us know — we’d love to include your offering.

What is Biodanza?

Biodanza is a well-being system created by a group of people together with a Chilean psychologist and anthropologist, Rolando Toro Araneda, in the late 1960s. Biodanza means the Dance of Life. As we practise it, we recover our natural movements, filled with meaning, joy and intention, through the power of music and a series of non-choreographed game and dance-exercises, based on a scientific methodology. The sessions are held in groups, with games and dances of vitality, affectivity (capacity to show affection), creativity, sexuality and transcendence, organized by the facilitator according to a Theoretical Model based on the life sciences: Biology, Anthropology, Psychology and Sociology.

How is Biodanza special?

What tells Biodanza apart from other disciplines, such as Yoga or Meditation, is that it creates bonds with other people, so important in these times in which many struggle with loneliness and isolation. Biodanza deepens self-awareness. It offers a safe space for you to connect with yourself, others and Nature in the now. It is not a therapy but has therapeutic effects: it helps develop our human capacities, communication skills, and relationships. This system is happily practised in 54 countries around the world at the present moment.

Who is the facilitator?

Paola Wales is a dynamic Biodanza facilitator known for creating transformational spaces that invite deep embodiment, emotional aliveness, and authentic connection. Drawing from both the roots of tradition and the cutting edge of research, her work is alive, creative, and grounded in the belief that through the moving body we can restore wholeness, cultivate wellness, and improve our lives.

Paola’s work has been featured in conferences and universities across Europe (Netherlands, Spain, Italy, England, Wales), where she has spoken and facilitated on themes such as Biodanza and Whole Health, Biodanza as a Tool for Community Psychology, Biodanza as a Person-Centred Form of Therapeutic Dance, Biodanza in Dementia Care, and Multicultural Biodanza with Refugee Women.

She is the founder of an International Peer-Learning Project—a vibrant initiative that has attracted 38 Biodanza facilitators from 19 countries in a global dialogue of shared learning. A passionate communicator, she translates and crafts educational materials, writes blogs, and authors eBooks.

Her multifaceted background spans music, education, community arts, integrative counselling, and a lifelong immersion in Eastern philosophy, psychology, and spirituality—all of which inform the richness of her work.

Blending discipline with play, structure with surrender, and orthodoxy with innovation, Paola continues to create safe, inclusive, and soulful containers where individuals can move beyond words, reconnect to their inner truth, and dance their way into transformation.
